    Our Story

    God’s call to Build Churches

    Rob and Michael Wierick grew up in the home of a Southern Baptist pastor.  Their father served in large churches for most of his ministry career. These two brothers experienced firsthand the excitement and challenges that leading a growing and vibrant congregation can bring to a pastor.   Their father instilled in them a deep love and commitment to the Word of God and the local church.

    As a successful architect, Rob has designed and managed some of the largest construction projects in the hotel and entertainment industry including participation in a 9.4-billion-dollar project for MGM Resorts and multi-million-dollar projects for Disney.  Michael has served in multiple ministry roles, from Worship Pastor to Executive Pastor at some of the largest Southern Baptist Churches in America.  As an Executive Pastor, Michael has led and served as the church representative for construction projects totaling over 31 million dollars.

    During a time of prayer and searching, God revealed to Rob that he was to leave the hospitality and entertainment industry and concentrate his attention and talents on the local church.  God placed a vision in Rob’s heart that God would use him to design and build 100 churches.  In 2013 Rob founded SYNC Architecture and Construction to follow God’s calling and complete God’s vision.  Michael, retired from local church ministry in 2021 and Rob invited his older brother to join SYNC to run operations so that the company could expand and bring firsthand expertise on what churches need in a design/build partnership. 

    God has brought together these two brothers with their unique experiences and expertise to expand the Kingdom of God.  SYNC Architecture and Construction is not just a design/build construction company, it’s a ministry and a calling.
