Michael Wierick has served the local church for 47 years in multiple ministry roles. He retired from Fielder Church in 2021 after serving there for 24 years as the Executive Pastor and Campus Pastor for the South Oaks Campus of Fielder Church in Arlington Texas. As an Executive Pastor, Michael was responsible for leading the church through numerous construction and remodel projects totaling over 31 million.
Michael was instrumental in the design and construction of the 20-million-dollar Metro Center, a unique theater-style worship facility with state-of-the-art AV technology that is used for both weekly worship and multiple community events. He led in the design and construction of the Fielder Church, Grand Prairie Campus which repurposed a highly visible retail space into multi-functional worship and family ministry facility for this campus of Fielder Church.
Michael also led the merger between South Oaks Baptist Church and Fielder Church to create the South Oaks Campus of Fielder Church. Following the successful merger of these two churches, he worked with design and construction teams to remodel and repurpose aging spaces into vibrant facilities for worship and multi-generational ministry programing.
Other projects that he has served as the church liaison include the remodeling of a retail strip center into a 20,000 sq. foot student facility complete with Junior High and High School worship venues and classrooms. He also led in the remodel of 2 floors of education space for a state-of-the-art children’s ministry building.
Michael’s vast experience in church ministry and his knowledge of what churches need from their design and construction teams make him a valuable partner when considering reimagining your facilities for Kingdom impact.

Earlier in his architectural career, Rob helped design the Hyatt Regency in Singapore, the Omni Hotel in Denver, Colorado, and Walt Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resorts in Florida during his time with the interior design firm Giant, Wilson, and Associates.
Rob has also worked as a consultant with world-renowned architecture firms such as Pelli Clark & Partners, HKS, and most recently, Nunzio Marc DeSantis Architects on cutting-edge projects.
In 2013, during a time of prayer and seeking the Lord’s direction, Rob decided that God was calling him to utilize his vast skills and experiences to work with churches in providing creative but cost-effective facilities to advance their individual God-given missions. In response to God’s prompting, Rob founded SYNC Architecture and Construction, a design-build firm with a passion for expanding God’s Kingdom by partnering with the local church, helping them to bring a vision to reality through a holistic design and construction approach. Most recently, SYNC has designed and constructed multiple satellite campuses and venues for Valley Creek Church across the DFW Metroplex.
Rob’s gifts and experience in designing some of the largest hospitality and entertainment venues have proved to be an invaluable tool for churches wanting to build exciting and inviting spaces that effectively reach people and grow their churches.
