Rob Wierick
Architecture
Rob Wierick is an accomplished architect and design-build leader with more than three decades of experience delivering some of the world’s most ambitious hospitality, entertainment, and commercial projects.
As executive architect and project manager for the $9.4 billion MGM CityCenter in Las Vegas, Rob directed the design and delivery of the complex back-of-house infrastructure supporting more than 10,000 employees while also leading the interior design vision for the flagship ARIA Resort & Casino and its 28 food-and-beverage venues.
Earlier in his career with Wilson & Associates, he contributed to the design of landmark properties including the Hyatt Regency Singapore, the Omni Hotel in Denver, and both the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts in Orlando. He has also served as an architectural consultant to preeminent global firms such as Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects (now Pelli Clarke & Partners), HKS, and, most recently, Nunzio Marc DeSantis Architects.
In 2013, after a season of prayer and seeking God’s direction, Rob sensed a clear calling to redirect his expertise toward Kingdom advancement. He founded SYNC Architecture and Construction, a design-build practice devoted exclusively to serving the local church. SYNC partners with congregations to translate their unique God-given vision into creative, cost-effective, and mission-focused facilities that welcome the unchurched and fuel growth. Among its recent projects are multiple new satellite campuses and worship venues for Valley Creek Church throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
Drawing on his extensive background in world-class hospitality and entertainment environments, Rob brings a rare blend of large-scale project leadership and guest-centered design thinking to church facilities, creating spaces intentionally crafted to remove barriers, engage culture, and create life-changing encounters with Jesus.
Today, through SYNC Architecture and Construction, Rob continues to equip pastors and church leaders with holistic design and construction solutions that help them reach more people and expand God’s Kingdom, one transformed facility at a time.
